Sometimes the best way to show someone how much you care is by telling them the brutal truth. We know that we need to read to our children, talk to them, and spend time with them. But even if we do all of that, we may still not get the best outcome. There are a few reasons. First, children are born with a different brain than adults. They have more neurons and synapses, which means that there are more pathways for thoughts and feelings to travel down.
Second, children are influenced by their environment, and the world is a very different place than it was when we were growing up.
The mind is a wonderful thing. The mind is a wonderful thing. It can make you laugh, it can make you cry and it can also be used to create beautiful things. The mind is the most powerful tool we have and I believe that everyone should learn how to use their minds in order to live better lives. I love reading, writing and traveling with my husband. I am currently working on several books for children as well as an adult novel about a woman who travels back in time through her dreams.
It does its best work when it’s being challenged and stretched in new ways. You may have heard that you’re using only 10% of your brain. That’s not true. What’s actually happening is that the brain is always changing and you’re using all of it. It’s like a flowing river, constantly moving and changing shape. What kind of thoughts and challenges do you need in your life in order to do your best work? You can’t stop the waves of change, so you might as well learn to surf. Here’s the truth: You are always changing. One of those changes is your brain adapting to the environment around you. It’s not just your brain that is always changing. Your whole body is changing – your cells, your skin, your bones, your blood. The thing is, you can’t stop the waves of change. You can’t hold the river back.
So you might as well learn to surf. I was never the same after my brain injury. In a sense, it’s like my brain injury has always been there- I just didn’t know it.
