Facebook wants to get involved in the market of video conferencing vendors and rolls Messenger Rooms from global. Up to 50 people can take part in calls at the same time. The video conference provider Zoom is getting more competitive. Social media giant Facebook has launched Messenger Rooms, its own video call tool. Messenger Rooms can initially be used in the USA, Mexico, and Canada, but is now being rolled out worldwide and should be available everywhere within the next few weeks. With Facebook’s video conference solution, virtual rooms can be created in which up to 50 people can communicate with each other at the same time. There is no time limit. Such a room can be created directly via Messenger or Facebook and offers the option of sharing a link to invite other participants. It is not a requirement to have a Facebook account to participate in a video call in Messenger Rooms.
