Ford has not yet officially presented its electric SUV Mustang Mach-E. However, Credit Suisse is confident that its competitor Tesla and its Model 3 will cost market share next year. On Sunday, Ford wants to present the highly anticipated electric SUV. The Mach-E, previously hailed as the legendary Mustang, now officially bears the name Mustang. Although Ford will bring the Mustang Mach-E probably only in the fall of 2020 in the US, Canada, and Europe in the trade, some analyst worries about the possible impact on the current industry leader Tesla and his successful Model 3.

Tesla currently has in the US, a market share of 80 percent in the field of electric cars, said the financial institution Credit Suisse on Thursday. But this unique position is seriously threatened by Ford and its Mach-E, especially in the US, CNBC quotes Credit Suisse analyst Dan Levy. Tesla, Levy said, could now capitalize on this clear advantage over the competition. If Tesla but continues to have problems in manufacturing, delivery logistics and service, this unique opportunity will pass, the analyst warned in a letter to investors. And Credit Suisse seems to have little hope that Tesla will take this opportunity. Because the financial house predicts the share of the e-car pioneer – at least passively – a slump. Credit Suisse analysts rated the Tesla paper as “underweight” in its rating system, which serves as a recommendation for investors. The price target is therefore at 200 US dollars. This is 40 percent below the current price of the Tesla share. Overall, the paper comes to analysts, according to Bloomberg data on eleven buy and nine hold recommendations. 16 analysts advise selling.

Whether the Mustang Mach-E really becomes a successful model for Ford certainly depends on many factors. However, the E-SUV certainly has some positive prerequisites on paper. Thus, the Stromer should be able to cover more than 480 kilometers with a load. Even a 600-kilometer version is supposedly at work. Priced Ford is probably based on the upcoming Tesla competitor Model Y and call between 50,000 and 70,000 dollars. A certain pull effect, especially in the US, is likely to be the name Mustang, which is included in the brand name.
