China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) is a national key university under the direct jurisdiction of Ministry of Education, China. It was founded in September 1982 by merging four colleges: Communication Engineering College, Computer Science and Technology College, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering College, Management Institute for Systems Engineering. The first president was Professor Cai Mingzhuo; the current president is Prof. Zhang Jianhua. It has 12 undergraduate programs including five majors: Electronic Information Engineering & Design; Computer Science & Technology; Telecommunications Engineering; Software Development & Application; Management Science & Economics& Business Administration with more than 4500 students.
