Android 11 – Going for a great Update?

Android 11 UPDATE

The big update to Android 11 was published by Google in September 2020. Which smartphones and tablets will receive the new iteration of the mobile operating system? We looked around for you and clarified which devices are included and which have already received them.  I’ll start with what I think is the biggest change. Apple has basically eliminated several things from Lollipop, making it just like any other update on an iPhone or iPad.

Android 11 has been completely finished since September 8th and was released almost at the same time as its predecessor, Android 10. Before the final version, the third and final public beta version of Android 11 appeared on August 6th as a release candidate. It could not only be installed on Google’s own Pixel devices of generations 2 to 4, but also on numerous other models. The same applies officially for the first time to the final version: In addition to current devices from Oneplus and Oppo, smartphones from Xiaomi and Realme will also get Android 11 from the first day of the release – but these are still beta versions of things that have been in existence for a long time and aren’t always relevant to our daily life. As well as looking at different forms, there is also something about the way we present ourselves: how many people talk into their mobile phones? How do they make conversation when it’s noisy or crowded? Where can I read more if I want to see anything new on social media?

With Android 11, Google brings numerous improvements to security and privacy settings. There is also a new display of notifications for messaging apps. In addition, the update brings its own screen recorder for video recordings of the screen. In addition, Google wants to automate dark mode, and so-called scoped storage – a sandboxing function for apps – is also becoming mandatory. In addition, there is talk of Google’s seamless update function, which was announced with Android 7.0 Nougat, will become mandatory for all manufacturers with Android 11. Samsung, for example, has not yet supported this practical feature, but that will soon change.
