Successful inventory management is primarily concerned with the question “How can I keep enough products in stock and save costs at the same time?”. The warehouse is a massive storage area that is capable of storing, monitoring, and delivery capacity. A smart warehouse combines different, interconnected technologies to form an ecosystem in which the entire business operation from delivery to delivery is controlled by artificial intelligence (AI). When the goods are received, sorted, processed, packaged and shipped in the warehouse, everything happens automatically and with a minimal error rate. AI makes warehouse management more agile and responds faster to logistical requirements.

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) plays an important role here – the industrial expression of the Internet of Things ( IoT ). In contrast to the IoT, the IIoT does not represent consumer-oriented concepts but focuses on applications in the industrial environment. When it comes to inventory management, the use of AI has advantages in many different areas. Automated systems that use AI-based algorithms can communicate faster than employees. Many warehouse management processes are already automated, but introducing IIoT-enabled devices into these processes will greatly improve their speed and accuracy. Wireless connections accelerate communication between individual components.AI will also change shipping processes significantly. Machine learning enables pickers to work more efficiently because AI can better calculate the number of pallets or packages that need to be moved on a specific day.

Human jobs in the warehouse will be reduced. People will be jobless and the domination of software will be increased. Need to find ways to involve jobless persons.
