Pandemic is an outbreak of disease.We can say a pandemic as affecting a wide range of people and can also be say that epidemic worldwide. Normally affected by disease which is related to virology and immune system of human. Through the definition, pandemics can expressed to occur annually in each of the temperate southern and northern hemispheres, given that seasonal epidemics cross international boundaries and affect a large number of people. However, seasonal epidemics are not considered pandemics.

COVID-19 case is pandemic which has been spread from China. During this COVID-19 pandemic, researcher found that consumption of alcohol increase adverse effect on body vulnerability , especially when in self-isolation. Different age group are affected different in pandemic. So far 3% of global COVID patient has died while flu patient is 1%.

Pandemic examples

Since start of 20th century there are number of pandemic. Swine flue pandemic was lasted from 2009 -2010. 284000 people were dead. Swine flu is still a threat. H1N1 flue, i,e swine flue has symptoms like fever, cough, pain in body, runny nose, vomiting and nurological problems. Presently vaccine is there.

SWINE FLUE PANDEMIC

In the year 1957 and 1958, there was Spanish flu. The Spanish flue also known as 1918 flue. About one third of world population was infected. Number of death was 50,000,000. The most common efforts had simultaneously closed schools, churches, and theaters, and banned public gatherings. In January 1919 a third wave of the Spanish Flu hit Australia and 12,000 people was dead.

The black death starts in Europe in 1347 and ends 1353. 200,000,000 people were death. The black death was originated most likely from Asia. It was a disaster in middle age of Europe. It is also called the plague and great death. The plague disease caused by bacteria. It was also circulated in various places of middle east and north America.

COVID -19 started from Wuhan, China and spread worldwide. It is predicted that the root cause was bat virus. COVID-19 virus try to destroy human immune system. Not all the people are governable to COVID, depends on age, lifestyle, geographical location, health style and much more.

Covid-19 as Pandemic

WHO declares COVID-19 is a pandemic. The main reason behind this is its rapid increase. Now almost all country of world is affected.

Alcohol during pandemic

After taking alcohol different side effect occurs. Insulin production of body will reduce. Alcohol creates damage to central nervous system. Increase blood pressure and emotional problems. Bodies natural immune system will be reduced. As such there is a risk of of adverse health outcomes. As such, Alcohol is not recommended.

Flu pandemic

Flu is caused by virus. Influenza virus creates pandemic time to time. Virus has the capability to change their structure and pattern. The changing pattern varies from place to place, session to session and geographical location. With the advanced of virology and technology of health professionals we can know better about this change. When a virus has been created as a new type, that pop up with new symptoms. This is the root cause of pandemic because most people is not immune to that new type. Spanish flue in 1918 was a deadly pandemic. Almost one third of world population was infected. There were 50 million deaths. Mortality rate was 1% to 3%. History said that the virus was not originated from Spain.
