The Thai airline Thai Airways has taken an unusual approach to reminding itself and generating extra revenue now that air travel is down due to the coronavirus. The airline recently opened a “pop-up” restaurant at its headquarters in Bangkok, where the infrastructure and service are reminiscent of being on board an airplane. Guests sit in airplane seats and the crew walks around in full regalia and serves guests. The reception has exceeded the brightest hopes and about two thousand meals are served a day, and it can be concluded that many have started to miss traveling and eating airplane food.
